Welcome / Membership Committee

Our Welcome & Membership committee welcomes our new home owners to our subdivision. In the year 2003 they delivered 56 welcome packets to new residents.

Welcome packets consist of a Welcome letter, information from the Pasco County Chamber of Commerce, Pasco County Curbside Recycling Info including a Blue Bag to get started, Association Information and membership form, Map of Magnolia Valley Sub-division, a ready reference of Deed Restriction and County Ordinances, a letter from Sheriff's Office pertaining to Code Enforcement, information from a few local business, and a schedule of meeting dates, time and location.

We find it difficult to keep up with the sales of every home in Magnolia Valley. If you notice new neighbors please notify us so we can welcome them to the neighborhood.

Communications Committees (Newsletter / Directory /Web Site)

Our Newsletter Committee compiles a variety of information to share with the residents in Magnolia Valley. It's pages are filled with news and updates from our monthly board meetings, upcoming activities and events as well as future projects, advertisements of local supportive businesses, changes to County Codes, safety tips from the Pasco County Sheriff's office and much, much more.

Our newsletters are published and delivered by our block captains to all the residents throughout the development approximately 4 to 6 times a year.

If you have any information which you feel others may benefit from knowing please forward it to the Newsletter Committee for publication.

Our Membership Directory is printed bi-annually with the help from our Directors and officers. The Directory is compiled with the Names, Addresses and Phone Numbers of all paid up Association members and includes a Map of our subdivision, a list of Officers and Board members and Block Captains, and a classified directory including advertisements of local supportive businesses. Our Directory is given to all paid up Association members.

This year we jumped into the Techno age by publishing our first web site. If you would like to see information on our site that is not there forward your request to the newsletter committee and we will try to work it in.

    Block Captains / Pony Express

We have a dedicated network of people that insure that each and every resident in Magnolia Valley receives a copy of our Newsletter and each member receives their Directory every other year.

It is not an easy job to insure that 690 newsletters get into your hands. The Newsletter Committee hands over the stack of Newsletters to the Block Captain Chairperson who separates and distributes them to our 5 Area Captains who in turn separates and distributes to our 31 Block Captains who get out there and deliver them to you.

Without these dedicated people we would not be able to keep you informed of what has been going on  in your community.

                      C. O. N. A. / County Affairs

It is of the utmost importance that our Association be kept up to date with the changes and proposed changes to State and Local Laws regarding Home Owner / Civic Associations. The best source is C.O.N.A. (Council Of Neighborhood Associations, Inc.)

Our representative bring back this information and voice our concerns to C.O.N.A so our voice is among the many to be passed on to State and County Officials.

County Affairs works directly with County Officials on our (your) behalf on matters that directly effect Magnolia Valley and its' residents.

Examples of their efforts are; repaving streets, persuading County Officials to construct the sound barrier wall along Massachusetts Avenue, Repair Drainage problems in the valley. Their dedicated efforts helped defeat the opening of Osteen Road North to Orchid Lake Road and these are just some of the important projects they have done for us (you).

Common Grounds / Community Properties

It is our intent to keep Magnolia Valley a safe and attractive community in which to live. Many long hours are spent in maintaining the common ground properties within the valley.

The common grounds committee is essential in doing just that. They are responsible for  mowing the grass and upkeep of the landscaping the front entrances, maintaining and repairing the irrigation system, and the lighting system, they conduct contract negotiations for mowing services, they manage and maintain the park as well as all other common grounds areas.

Our park is available for use by association members. For reservations contact the common grounds chair person.

We always welcome new volunteers.

Entertainment

We can't be all work and no play. Once a year our Entertainment committee pulls together and plans our annual October fest Picnic. This is an opportunity for all association members to gather in our park to meet their neighbors and enjoy a picnic complete with free food and drinks, door prizes and raffle.

The entertainment committee is also responsible for the coordination of our annual neighborhood yard sale which is held in November. They compile a list of those residents included and place advertising in local papers and throughout the community.

This has been a great success for many home owners.

Code & Covenant Compliance / Secret Service

This is the committee many people either love or hate

and most people love to hate.

Our Code & Covenant Committee works very diligently at making sure the residents throughout Magnolia Valley comply with not just our recorded Deed Restrictions but also the Pasco County Codes. This is the back bone to keeping our 35 year old community looking like new. It is our goal to preserve the image of our community to attract responsible homeowners.
